Mechanical Technician

Position:  Mechanical Technician

Commitment:  Full Time, 45-55 hours per week

Qualifications:  High School Diploma, Self-Leadership, High Functioning Self-Emotional Control 
Compensation:  See Chart Below
Job Opening:  Immediately 
Training Schedule:  4-8 weeks
 

General Expectations:

  • Experience working with and can diagnose 24v circuits, single and 3 phase circuits and motors.

  • A general understanding of relays, motor starters and solenoids.

  • Ability to understand and diagnose heaters and boilers.

  • Ability to work well with others.

  • Perform repairs as required to maintain car washes.

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance.

  • Serve as fill-in wash manager if required

  • Snow removal

  • Complete computerized checklists.

  • Other duties as may be assigned by management.
     

Responsibilities: 

  • Represent Royal Car Wash in a professional manner

  • Wear approved company uniform

  • Greet managers and customers and assure their satisfaction

  • Handle manager repair requests promptly and courteously

  • Make your washes a place that customers want to return to and managers like to take care of

  • Maintain your car washes as if you were the owner

  • Report for work at scheduled times

  • Work days and hours for Service Technicians are scheduled and subject to change.

  • Schedule any absences two weeks in advance. Try to schedule routine doctor/other appointments on your days off.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

  • Manage and be responsible for Royal Car Wash supplies, equipment, and vehicles you work with.
     

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Maintain a bright and cheerful attitude.

  • Take pride in yourself, your job, and your team members

  • Pass complete background check which includes both criminal and financial checks.

  • Must have clean motor vehicle record.

  • Pass drug testing

  • Be able to lift up to 100 pounds and climb ladders

  • Possess strong electro-mechanical skills

  • Have good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

  • Strong candidates will have basic understanding of low voltage control circuits, multimeter usage, three-phase electrical circuits, and pneumatics.

  • Ideal candidates will also be familiar with plumbing, welding, and hydraulics.

  • Be familiar and comfortable with working with both hand and power tools

  • Have a stable work history

  • Have reliable transportation

  • Be interested in working at position long-term

  • Have good interpersonal skills
